According to Senator Umar, the allegation is purely a political falsehood created to tarnish his image and political strength in Bauchi State.
More so, these renewed accusations on his alleged involvement in banditry is coming after he declared his intention to vie for the gubernatorial seat of Bauchi State come 2027.
With the strength of his grassroot support and acceptance by millions of voters in the State, his opponents created this unfounded allegation to reduce his momentum and destroy his political ambition seeing the crowd he pulled during the declaration.
Already, his political associates and well meaning individuals from Bauchi State have come out to set the record straight and debunked the allegations.
On his part, the distinguished senator has resolved to report this to relevant authorities for investigation including legal actions against those pedlling these allegations.
He urged his supporters to remain calm and steadfast in their will as the truth shall prevail over lies.
