The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a shift in the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course in Enugu and Osun states.
According to a press statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the orientation exercise for prospective corps members deployed to the two states will now begin on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and end on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The NYSC explained that the adjustment, which is one week later than the schedule for other states, is due to ongoing extensive renovation of orientation camps by the respective state governments.
The scheme, however, confirmed that the orientation course for prospective corps members posted to the remaining 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will proceed as earlier scheduled, from Wednesday, April 22 to Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Affected prospective corps members have been advised to take note of the revised dates and comply accordingly.
The NYSC also wished all prospective corps members a safe journey to their states of deployment.
