Tinubu Hails Umahi's Commitment to Infrastructure as He Marks Birthday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, on his birthday, describing him as one of the administration's most hardworking and dedicated ministers.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised Umahi's passion for delivering quality road and bridge infrastructure across the country.

Tinubu noted that before his appointment as Minister of Works, Umahi served as Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District and was a two-term Governor of Ebonyi State, where he oversaw major infrastructural development.

The President commended the minister's hands-on approach to project supervision, saying he regularly visits construction sites nationwide rather than relying solely on reports from officials.

"Engineer Umahi has been one of my outstanding, hardworking ministers—passionate about the job and delivering durable roads and bridges that will last for about a century," Tinubu said.

He urged the minister to sustain the momentum in road construction and rehabilitation in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda's goal of improving citizens' quality of life and stimulating economic growth.

President Tinubu also wished Umahi good health, renewed strength and continued success in service to the nation.
