Nigeria’s Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, on Saturday attended the wedding ceremonies of two sons of the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, in Kano State.
The wedding fātiha ceremonies were held separately within Kano metropolis, with Bilal Yusuf Abdullahi Ata’s ceremony taking place in Fagge, while Khalid Abdullahi Ata’s was held in Panshekara.
Dangiwa was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Shuaib Belgore, alongside the Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Shehu Usman Osidi, as well as directors and senior officials of the ministry.
Acccording to the Director of Press and Public Relations, Bandanas Haiba, on Saturday, other dignitaries present included Damola Olarinde, Chief Consultant for the Renewed Hope Cities Housing Projects, and former Secretary to the Kano State Government, Bappa Bichi, among several political leaders, community figures, and stakeholders.
The ceremonies, conducted in line with Islamic traditions, featured prayers by community imams for the couples’ union, prosperity, and peaceful marital life.
A reception was later held at the Kano Hilltop Palace Hotel in honour of the newlyweds, drawing family members, friends, and well-wishers from within and outside the state.
The presence of top government officials at the events highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional relationships and foster goodwill among public office holders and stakeholders across sectors.
