ECOWAS, Member States Chambers of Commerce Partner to Unlock Regional Economic Growth

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is strengthening collaboration with its member states' Chambers of Commerce and Industry to promote regional economic growth.

This commitment was emphasized during a two-day training seminar held in Lagos, Nigeria, on the May 5th and 6th of May,2025. ECOWAS aims to foster a supportive environment for entrepreneurship, innovation, and job creation. 

Commissioner Massandjé Touré-Litse highlighted the private sector’s crucial role in achieving sustainable development across the region and encouraged stakeholders to take full advantage of this opportunity to improve citizens’ living standards. The event emphasized principles of transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness as the foundation of this strategic partnership, aiming to harness the region’s rich potential and strengthen regional integration.
