The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced scheduled annual preventive maintenance on the Katampe–Gwarimpa 132kV Line II at the 132/33kV Katampe 1 Transmission Substation in Abuja.
The exercise is scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2026, between 10am and 4pm.
According to TCN, its maintenance crew will work on the bay switchgears and associated equipment during the period.
The company said the maintenance would affect electricity supply by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) to parts of Kubwa, FO1, Gbazango, Byazin, Byazin Across, Dutse Alhaji, Dutse Makaranta, Ushafa and Bwari.
Other affected locations include parts of Suleja, Kaduna Road, Sabon Wuse, Dikko, Madalla, Zuba, Dakwa and Tugan Maji, as well as neighbouring communities.
TCN apologised to electricity consumers in the affected areas for the inconvenience the maintenance exercise might cause.
