Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026 to Honour Outstanding Nigerians in Abuja


Royalprince Media Services, publishers of Emporium Reporters, Emporium Magazine, and Emporium Online TV, has announced plans to host the maiden edition of the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026 on June 25 in Abuja.

The event, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters, is aimed at celebrating exemplary leadership, institutional excellence, and significant contributions to national development.

Themed “From Clicks to Credibility: Digital Media’s Role in Deepening Nigeria’s Democracy,” the lecture will examine how digital media can promote responsible journalism, accountability, credible information dissemination, and democratic growth in Nigeria.

Chief Sunday Akinlabi Dare, CON, FNIS, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, will serve as Chairman of the event, while Abdullahi O. Haruna Haruspice, Publisher of World Entourage Magazine, is expected to deliver the keynote lecture.

The gathering will feature several high-profile dignitaries, including the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, as Special Guest of Honour. Other expected guests include the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris; Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu; Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu; Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Chief Tony Ojukwu, SAN, OFR; and Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.

As part of the programme, individuals and organisations that have distinguished themselves through exceptional leadership and service will be honoured with various awards.

Among the award recipients are ACC John Attah Onoja, National Commander of the Mining Marshals, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC); Alhaji Abdur-Rahman Adekunle Balogun, Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocol at the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM); Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi; Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, OFR; and Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike.

Others slated for recognition include Fame Foundation for its advocacy and social impact initiatives; energy consultant, Dr. Wisdom Enang; former House of Representatives member, Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya; Founder of InnoBec Business School, Dr. Innocent Odey; Chief Operating Officer of InvestData Consulting Limited, Ambrose Omordion; and Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria, Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace.

Speaking ahead of the event, Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Royalprince Media Services, Lukman Laleye Babalola, said the initiative underscores the organisation’s commitment to promoting credible journalism, responsible leadership, and sustainable national development.

According to him, the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters represents a significant milestone, marking a decade of impactful reporting, public engagement, and dedication to informing and educating society.

The event will also feature the unveiling of a special 10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition of Emporium Magazine, highlighting the achievements of notable individuals and institutions contributing to national growth across various sectors.

Organisers said the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026 is expected to attract government officials, media professionals, corporate executives, policymakers, and stakeholders committed to strengthening credible communication and democratic values in Nigeria.
