The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has alerted the public to the activities of a fraudulent Facebook page operating under the name “Customs Authority,” which is falsely presenting itself as an official platform of the Service.
In a statement, the NCS clarified that the page has no affiliation whatsoever with the Service and is being used to mislead and defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
The Service urged citizens to ignore any information, offers, requests, or communications originating from the fake page and to refrain from engaging with its operators.
To ensure access to authentic information and official updates, the NCS advised the public to follow only its verified social media channels, including Facebook (Nigeria Customs Service), X (@customsng), Instagram (@customsng), Threads (@customsng), and TikTok (@customsng).
The Service also encouraged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious online accounts or activities falsely claiming to represent the Nigeria Customs Service.
The NCS reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the public from fraud and ensuring that official information is disseminated through its recognized communication platforms.
