The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the official schedule for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course, set to take place across the country.
According to the scheme’s management, the 21-day orientation exercise will be conducted simultaneously in all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
The statement signed by Caroline Embu, Director of Information and Public Relations, said that the programme is scheduled to begin with the reception and registration of Prospective Corps Members on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and will continue until midnight on Friday, April 24, 2026.
The swearing-in ceremony for the prospective corps members will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026.
NYSC further disclosed that the orientation course will officially conclude on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
The management also advised all prospective corps members to ensure safe travel to their respective orientation camps. It reiterated its warning against night journeys, urging them to break their trips by 6:00 p.m. and seek accommodation at designated safe locations such as corps lodges, military formations, police stations, or traditional rulers’ palaces before continuing their journey the following day.
