Following an earlier announcement of the conferment, the Minister of the Year 2025 award by Daily Asset Newspapers has now been formally presented to the Honourable Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, at a reception dinner held in his honour in Abuja.
The award was initially presented symbolically at the 9th Annual Daily Asset Awards Ceremony on Thursday, while the Minister was on official assignment in New Zealand, and was received on his behalf by the Chief Veterinary Officer of Nigeria, Dr. Samuel Anzaku.
Presenting the award, the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Daily Asset Newspapers, Dr. Cletus Akwaya, said the Minister was selected based on his visionary leadership, policy clarity, and measurable impact in repositioning the livestock sector as a tool for peacebuilding, food security, and economic diversification.
