ECOWAS Electoral Observation Mission Leader Visits Situation Rooms, Observes Vote Counting In Boulbinet


The Head of the ECOWAS Electoral Observation Mission (EOM), Dr. Abdoulie Janneh accompanied by his Deputy, Senator Lawan Gana Guba, visited the ECOWAS and WANEP (West Africa Network for Peacebuilding) situation rooms, as well as those of Guinean civil society organizations. 

The visit on 28 December 2025, the day of the presidential election was aimed at gathering statistics and information on the conduct of the election across the country.

According to ECOWAS in a statement on Monday, the two ECOWAS officials observed the vote counting process in two polling stations located in Boulbinet and Almamya, a crucial stage of the electoral process in the evening. 


They witnessed the closing of the ballot boxes, the opening and counting of the ballots, and the observance of electoral procedures and rules, in the presence of ECOWAS observers and representatives of civil society, the statement
