The Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) Chief Edward Omo-Erewa, has congratulated the Director General, Engr. Chukwuemeka Woke, following the Agency’s emergence as first on the Transparency and Integrity Index where NOSDRA led with 78.84% out of 575 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
The Chairman extended his congratulations to Engr. Woke on Thursday during a courtesy visit to the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja. He commended the DG for his exemplary leadership, commitment to accountability, and dedication to transparency in public service, which he said had contributed greatly to the Agency’s outstanding performance and national recognition.
He further emphasized that NOSDRA’s top ranking on the Transparency and Integrity Index is a testament to the Agency’s unwavering dedication to good governance and ethical standards.
Chief Omo-Erewa urged the DG and his team to remain focused and resilient, noting that sustaining such achievements requires continuous innovation, vigilance, and a strong institutional culture.
Chairman assured the Agency of the Board’s full support in driving forward reforms and initiatives that strengthen accountability and environmental responsibility across all levels of operation.
In his remarks, Engr. Woke expressed appreciation to the Board Chairman and the entire Board members for their continuous support. He dedicated the achievement to the management and staff of NOSDRA, noting that it was the result of collective effort and a shared vision to uphold integrity and excellence in service delivery.
“This recognition is not just for me, but for every staff of NOSDRA who continues to give their best in promoting transparency, accountability, and environmental stewardship.
“We will continue to raise the bar in our operations and ensure that our systems and processes reflect the highest standards of integrity and professionalism,” he added.
The visit ended with renewed commitment from both the Board and Management to sustain NOSDRA’s leadership role in environmental protection and transparency within the public sector.
