Nigeria said it is set to host the World Public Relations Forum WPRF, scheduled for November 2026 in Abuja, assuring international participants of seamless issuance of visas by its foreign missions abroad.
The hosting was secured by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Maitama Tuggar who gave the assurance in his goodwill message at the formal unveiling ceremony of WPRF, said that strategic communication is the bedrock of mutual understanding, the engine of economic diplomacy, and a vital tool for shaping a future defined not by division but by collaboration and shared progress.
"In an era of rapid information exchange and complex global challenges, the role of strategic communication has never been more critical.
"Let me use this medium to assure all prospective participants, delegates, and partners that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in conjunction with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and all relevant agencies, is fully committed to ensuring a seamless, peaceful, and exceptionally successful event.
"The Ministry will be dedicating the necessary resources and expertise to facilitate the seamless issuance of visas by our missions abroad to international participants who will be visiting Nigeria for the event to deliver a forum that is not only productive but also an unforgettable experience," he said.
Tuggar, who was represented by the Spokesperson in the ministry, Mr. Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa on Monday, commended NIPR for securing the hosting rights of the proposed gathering of minds, which serves as the global summit for public relations and communication leaders.
