Nigeria Congratulates Republic Of Botswana On Independence Anniversary, To Deepen Ties In Trade, Others

Nigerian has extended Nigeria's warm congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency, Dr. Lemogang Kwape, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Botswana, on the occasion of the Independence Anniversary of their country.

The  Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Republic of Botswana in areas of mutual interest, including trade, education, governance, innovation, and continental integration under the frameworks of the African Union (AU) and other multilateral platforms. 

The Minister in a statement by the Spokesperson,Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, on Tuesday said; "As Botswana celebrates this momentous anniversary of sovereignty and nationhood, Nigeria joins in honouring the enduring legacy of peace, democracy, and socio-economic progress that continues to define the Botswana people.

"The cordial bilateral relations between Nigeria and Botswana which is rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and a common vision for Africa’s development remain a source of pride and a beacon of partnership in the African continent.

"Nigeria therefore reaffirms its commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Republic of Botswana in areas of mutual interest, including trade, education, governance, innovation, and continental integration under the frameworks of the African Union (AU) and other multilateral platforms. 

"We commend Botswana’s steadfast dedication to good governance, sustainable development, and regional stability, and we look forward to deeper collaboration for the prosperity and well-being of our people."
