Mining Cadastre Office, CAC Strengthen Partnership On Promoting Efficiency In Mining Sector

The Mining Cadastre Office (MCO) and Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) have agreed to collaborate on promoting transparency and efficiency the nation's mining sector.

This was mulled when the Director-General of the Mining Cadastre Office (MCO) on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the CAC in Abuja to strengthen collaboration between the two organizations. 

The Registrar General of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Hussain Ishaq  Magagi, SAN, received the MCO team with glaring embrace .

During the visit, Engr. Nkom and the CAC leadership exchanged plaques, symbolizing their commitment to fostering a robust partnership. 

The MCO and CAC aim to leverage their respective expertise to promote transparency, efficiency, and good governance in the mining sector and corporate Nigeria, the Head of Press of MCO, Patrick Chika Osuji said in a statement.

The visit aligns with the MCO's efforts to enhance its operations and services, building on its successes in digitizing mineral title administration and improving revenue generation. 

By collaborating with the CAC, the MCO seeks to further streamline processes and promote compliance with regulatory requirements.

According to the statement, the MCO's eMC+ system has been recognized for its transparency and efficiency, and the organization is committed to sharing its expertise with other agencies to drive sectoral growth and development.

The Corporate Affairs Commission is the primary regulatory agency responsible for the incorporation and regulation of companies in Nigeria.

The commission plays a critical role in promoting transparency and good governance in the corporate sector . 

The Registrar General said that CAC facilities has  been upgraded to AI level where Companies will be well screened and qualified  before registration. He also emphasized that the visit demonstrates the strong collaboration with MCO.
